Discovering Happy in Movement
Woke up with pain? No longer enjoying certain movements? If you are looking for ways to take the first steps towards getting back to do what you love again, you have landed on the right spot. This blog is about understanding pain, the human anatomy and how it relates to acute vs chronic pain, natural healing process, and some pilates exercises you can do in the comfort of your own home to begin putting a smile back on your face again.
Before I say more about pain and movement, I will write a little bit about me…
My name is Michelle. I live in Adelaide, Australia and love the small beaches we have here I would go on beach walks for days on end if I could. I am a physiotherapist or physical therapist by trade, a mobile allied health business owner startup on the side, Rich Dad radio show addict by day while driving to clients and Korean drama addict by night.
I love talking and connecting with people, because everyone and everything has a story of their own. I believe in chasing for that pot of gold at the end of rainbows but am also a realist, why not be a bit of both? Optimism and positivity is what I strive to choose to always be. It is entirely up to me what I want to feel or be every day when I wake up, optimistic or pessimistic, positive or negative. The choice is completely in my hands. My peers usually comment on how positive I always appear. Well, all I did was smile and remind myself of how lucky I am to be alive and have my loved ones. The power of a smile, even for yourself can be quite remarkable. It will trick your brain into believing you are happy and without worries.
Anyways, that is me.
Have fun reading!
And have a beautiful day!
Disclaimer, this blog is just to share my views on pain in an easy to digest way, and effects of movement and exercises. You should always seek medical advice from your consulting general practitioner and/or physical therapist/physiotherapist before attempting any of the suggestions as written in this blog.
